Cancellation Policy

12 Month membership:

You may not end your membership within your 12-month initial commitment period unless you are entitled to end it under paragraph 8b below.
If you pay monthly and would like to end your 12-month membership from the end of your 12-month initial commitment period, you must fill in a change of circumstances for to give us notice in writing (both known as ‘notice to end membership’). You must give this notice to your home club no later than the 17th day of the last month of your 12-month initial commitment period. If we do not receive this written notice by the 17th day of the last calendar month of your 12-month initial commitment period, your membership will automatically continue on a month -to-month basis unless you or we end it under this paragraph 8, or you have paid upfront for your current 12 months’ membership and you are in the 12th month of this period.

After your 12-month initial commitment period, you may give us notice to end membership at any time. Your club must receive this written notice no later than the 17th day of a calendar month if you want your membership to end from the end of the last day of that month. If your club does not receive your notice to end membership by the 17th day of a calendar month, your membership will automatically continue for another calendar month unless you or we end it under paragraph 8, or you have paid upfront for your current 12 months’ membership and you are in the 12th month of this period.

If your notice to end membership specifies a date earlier than you are entitled to end your membership under this Contract, we will tell you (in writing to the postal address or email address or by phone to the number we have on our records) to confirm the earliest date that you can end your membership. You will then need to give us another notice to end membership with the correct date and before the 17th day of a calendar month if you want to end your membership from the end of the last day of that month.

Short term, i.e., flexi or three months:

If you would like to cancel your short term membership ,
we will require just 30 days’ notice, after the initial commitment period of 1
or 3 months

Freezes:

If you would like to freeze your membership, we require a request in writing before the 17th of the of the month prior to the month(s) you wish to freeze. A £10 per month freeze fee applies to each month frozen unless medical proof can be provided. We can only freeze an active membership and we can only freeze up to three consecutive months at a time. The easiest and most efficient way of requesting a freeze is by emailing: info@laneshealthclubs.co.uk – as this is a regularly monitored mailbox and can be used to send documents such as medical proof safely and securely.

Please note that any freeze fee(s) will be charged with the next full direct debit payment, and after this your direct debit will return to normal.

In relation to yearly, one-off payment members- a freeze will extend your membership expiry date and the freeze fee(s) will be collected by a member of the membership team.

New membership promotions

Please note: From time to time, we put promotions out to attract new members. If you have cancelled in the last three months, you will not be eligible for the current membership promotions.
